We had gone through four builders before finding Shimberg Homes. I located them online and reluctantly called. Since they were out of Tampa I didn't think they'd consider building for us in south St. Petersburg and our home plan was smaller than they usually build. But, from my first conversation with Troy Glaves, Director of Sales, to the closing it was a professional and personal experience! I was pleasantly surprised when Richard Shimberg met me on site with Troy and personally agreed to build for us. It was then I knew why we'd gone through four previous builders to get to Shimberg. I cannot stress enough the integrity, reliability, honesty and just old fashioned personal customer service. Hard to find these days! Not to mention, the quality of construction overall has exceeded our expectations. Working with Melissa Bailey, Design Consultant, was also a pleasure. And I was so impressed with the relationship we had with Earl Piper, Construction Manager, he walked every step with us, and then some! They are truly committed to quality and a "done right" home building experience!
We love our new Shimberg Home and cannot say enough about the positive experience we had working with the Shimberg team. We purchased our home prior to permitting and thus saw the process the whole way through. Troy Glaves, Earl Piper, and Melissa Bailey are responsive and truly care that you love your new home. Building a house is stressful but it made it so much easier on us to know that if there was an issue they would make sure it was done right.

We have built 3 homes and this one was the most pleasurable experience. All of the staff from the office to the landscaping crew were cognizant of our every want and need. Changes were made to the original plan and proceeded flawlessly. We have never had a construction manager explain all the warranties and care for our home during the orientation like GW. Thank you Shimberg Homes for the the most pleasant experience and our beautiful new home!
This is our third new home we have purchased. Not only is this the first home that has been complete to our satisfaction prior to closing but the construction manager took a considerable amount of time during our orientation to explain our new home.
